Our first post-November-lockdown running night was held on Thursday 3rd December, initially as a one-off; however, thanks to new volunteer deputy co-ordinator James Gale (and Otto Karhunen who is acting as backup) we are now able to return to regular running nights on both Tuesday and Thursdays f
Under the new lockdown which begins Thursday 5th November, running in groups is again banned.
SRC Tuesday nights are suspended until such time as the rules change again and mini-groups of up to six may also no longer be organised under Government rules.
Many thanks to all those who volunteered for SRC's parkrun takeover on Saturday 13th January. We filled all the volunteer positions and oversaw Ashton Court's second biggest parkrun ever, with almost 600 runners braving the cold.
We're looking forward to seeing all our new and returning runners tonight on our first run of 2018!
Please remember to bring 50p and hi viz clothing. Some form of hi viz kit (fluorescent clothing, reflective material and/or flashing lights) is mandatory to run with us.
Congratulations to all the runners who completed the Bristol Half Marathon. 59 runners completed the course and we were also hugely oversubscribed with volunteers to man our station on Cumberland Road - thanks to all those who volunteered and congratulations to all the runners.
A reminder that we will not be meeting at the Southbank tonight - we are meeting in the small park at the beginning of the Towpath under the Cumberland Basin flyover (see Google Maps: http://bit.ly/2fHM13C).
