Welcome to Southville Running Club...

We are a friendly group of mixed abilities and ages who just want to run with others in a more social, motivating environment.

Whether you just want a gentle jog around the harbourside or are up for a faster run with a measure of hills thrown in, then we should have a group for you.

We meet at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start every Tuesday and Thursday at the Southbank Club, Dean Lane, BS3 1DB (map).

A token fee of 50p is charged on a per run basis in order to pay for the hire of the room and facilities at the Southbank Club.

Tickets still available for the year's biggest social.

Several Southville runners braved howling gales and rivers of mud to run the Gower EnduranceLife challenge on Saturday. Katie Egan shrugged off injury to finish 2nd woman in the 10k, while Mark Ducker came 4th in a marathon that was an achievement just to finish.

Congratulations to everyone who ran the inaugural Gordano Round Marathon on Saturday, not least Teresa Oakes who was third female V50. Andy Hickman and Laura Collacott also came 5th man and 5th woman overall respectively.

Southville RC's Nightingale Nightmare 10k returned for its third running on Sunday 1st November and was bigger, better and spookier than ever before. The event sold out weeks in advance, and 182 runners completed the course for a record turnout.
